All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the Worlds, and may peace and blessings be upon our noble and unlettered Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and companions.

It gives me great pleasure and honor to express my deep gratitude and appreciation to my colleagues among the faculty members, staff, teaching assistants, and students who have contributed to the establishment and development of this academic institution, the Faculty of Education – Mizdah.

Since its establishment, the Faculty of Education at Mizdah, affiliated with the University of Gharyan, has placed great emphasis on setting future-oriented visions, clear objectives, and a noble mission aimed at achieving meaningful outcomes. This is realized through the preparation and qualification of specialized educational qualified-graduates equipped with knowledge, professional skills, and pedagogical competencies that enable them to compete effectively in the labor market and contribute to serving community institutions, particularly educational institutions. The faculty plays a vital role in providing distinguished male and female teachers for the basic and intermediate stages of education, contributing to the formation of an educated generation capable of pursuing success across various fields of life.

The faculty also aspires to become a national and regional center of expertise in the preparation and qualification of educational personnel, as well as in the development, evaluation, and improvement of curricula for general and higher education institutions. It seeks to ensure that its graduates demonstrate high levels of competence, effectiveness, and competitiveness.

Furthermore, the faculty focuses on the continuous development and quality enhancement of academic programs to ensure excellence in teaching and learning. It also works toward advancing qualitative knowledge production by encouraging research productivity among faculty members and postgraduate students. In addition, the faculty seeks to expand community partnership programs with institutions concerned with education in both the public and private sectors, and to implement various initiatives that strengthen the developmental role of the Faculty of Education as a leading institution in preparing creative, ethical, and professionally responsible teachers.

The Faculty of Education – Mizdah is committed to quality and excellence and strives to attain a distinguished academic standing and a strong institutional reputation. It aims to be among the most outstanding and innovative institutions in the fields of education, scientific research, and community service. This is achieved through providing a supportive academic environment for students—one that nurtures creativity, excellence, and innovation—through continuous material and moral support.

The faculty also looks forward to achieving its strategic goals by enhancing administrative and academic performance, promoting a culture of quality, developing the capacities of faculty members in educational, research, and pedagogical fields, advancing the level of applied research, strengthening aspirations toward activating research partnerships at both local and international levels, and continuously developing curricula in ways that serve community needs and promote a culture of lifelong learning.

Description



The Faculty of Education – Mizdah is a newly established academic institution. It was founded by Minister of Education Decision No. (466) of 2018, with the aim of preparing qualified educational graduates in the Mizdah region to address the shortage of teachers in basic and secondary schools resulting from the increasing number of educational institutions in the area.

The faculty began its academic activities in the 2018–2019 academic year. It comprises seven academic departments:

Islamic Studies, Arabic Language, English Language, Classroom Teacher, Physics, Biology, and Mathematics.

Our vision is to become a leading academic institution that provides distinguished education and strives for leadership, innovation, pedagogical and academic excellence, scientific research, community service, and sustainable development.

The faculty aspires to realize its motto:

“Ideal Education for Building the Ideal Teacher.”

Mission



The mission of the Faculty of Education is to prepare teacher-researchers and professional educators equipped with the highest educational values, capable of advancing the educational process and contributing to the development of educational theories and practices through scientific research in cooperation with local and regional institutions.

The faculty is also committed to offering distinguished, innovative, and contemporary academic programs, producing rigorous educational research that enriches human knowledge, and establishing effective community partnerships that contribute to serving society.

Goals



  1. Preparing teachers capable of performing their educational and pedagogical roles in accordance with international standards for teacher preparation, through providing an appropriate learning environment that qualifies students to become educators of future generations.
  2. Providing students with fundamental scientific, educational, psychological, and social knowledge.
  3. Conducting research and studies in line with international standards of scientific research that contribute to the development and support of the educational process.
  4. Offering programs that enhance the professional development of educators, specialists, educational leaders, and practitioners in the educational field.
  5. Creating a culturally and socially aware environment in which knowledge and culture serve as central pillars, with the faculty acting as its core.
  6. Developing modern, high-quality curricula based on innovation and continuous advancement.
  7. Enabling students to acquire and apply professional skills after graduation.
  8. Enhancing students’ ability to interact effectively with modern technologies to prepare them for the labor market.
  9. Committing to modern approaches in delivering courses, academic programs, and educational activities.
  10. Developing research competencies in the field of education.
  11. Promoting ethical values, social responsibility, and religious and cultural awareness among students, enabling them to have a positive influence within their communities.
