Description
The Classroom Teacher Department is one of the academic and pedagogical departments within the Faculty of Education. It is dedicated to preparing and qualifying academically and pedagogically competent teachers for the basic education stage through an integrated academic program that combines theoretical foundations with practical application.
The department aims to equip student teachers with educational and psychological knowledge, as well as the professional skills required to teach various school subjects, manage classrooms effectively, and address individual differences among learners.
The program places strong emphasis on lesson planning, the use of modern teaching strategies, the integration of educational technologies, and the application of diverse assessment methods, while reinforcing the ethical and professional values of the teaching profession. In addition, the department prioritizes field-based teaching practice in schools, ensuring a strong link between academic study and real classroom experience, and preparing graduates to contribute effectively to the development of the educational process and to community service.

Students register for the practicum course in the final semester after fulfilling all course requirements. Students are required to comply with the following: Educational institutions for the practicum are determined by the department through the specialized supervisor. Educational institutions are officially contacted according to the administrative sequence approved by the faculty. Practicum students are distributed among the selected educational institutions. The practicum program is implemented over a full academic semester and is considered in the student’s timetable. Teaching periods are distributed according to available periods in the educational institution throughout the week, with a minimum of one class per week. The student is assigned a full teacher schedule during the last two weeks of the semester. students are evaluated according to specified criteria in the prepared evaluation forms, with grades distributed as follows: Supervisor Score Percentage Educational Supervisor 40 40% Subject Specialist 40 40% School Principal 10 10% Main Teacher 10 10% Total 100 100% The educational supervisor is required to attend the student’s lessons according to the assigned schedule, record observations, and discuss them with the student.
